In his current position, Steven leads the U.S. sales team’s development and execution of market segment/ key customer specific strategies and the tactical execution necessary for retail success. He is passionate about providing innovative, quality bakery solutions that meet customer needs, whether it’s through convenience, enhanced in-store execution, creative products, promotions and merchandising that deliver category sales growth and profitability within the Bakery Department. Buffington’s experience includes over 25 years in the food industry in various executive sales leadership positions built upon his operations roots. He has served as a member of the IDDBA Board of Directors since 2017 and has been an active member of the Market Research, Bakery Advisory and International Advisory Committees.
