IDDBA Undergraduate/Graduate Scholarships

To support employees of IDDBA-member companies, IDDBA is offering academic scholarships. Awards from $100 to $1,000 per semester are available to graduating high school seniors and current or returning college or vocational/technical school students. Because funds are budgeted annually, available dollars may be prorated among eligible applicants. If financial resources run low, priority will be given to supermarket dairy, deli, and bakery employees.

Scholarship applicants are required to:

  • Be a current (during the college school year) full- or part-time employee of an IDDBA-member company. You must work a minimum of 13 hours per week during the school year for an IDDBA-member company to be eligible for an IDDBA scholarship. To verify your company's membership, check if your company appears in the list of current IDDBA members.

  • Have an academic field of study in a food-related field (such as culinary arts, baking/pastry arts, or food science), business, or marketing program.

  • Have a 2.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent. (May be waived for first-time returning adult students; please call for information.)

Application deadlines are:

  • January 1
  • April 1
  • July 1
  • October 1
