The Hispanic Consumer
(Thomas Opinion Research - 2000)
By the year 2025, The United States will have 56.3 million Hispanic residents
(second only to Mexico with 136.6 million). With a purchasing power of
$300 billion, their spending power has grown twice as fast as that of the
general population. Numbering more than 30 million currently, this is the
fastest-growing population in the U.S. The report shows:
- Hispanic preferences for brands (national, Hispanic, and store brands), traditional food preferences and wish lists.
- Where they shop (American-style supermarkets, Hispanic markets, specialty shops).
- The influence of their culture on food purchases, and attitudes and purchase patterns for bakery, deli, and dairy items, etc.
The demographic data includes country of origin, generational data, family size, income, employment status, geographic location, etc.
