Food Safety Certification Reimbursement Program (FSCRP)

Safe food matters! That’s why it’s important to have a trained and certified team handling your customers’ food. We know the importance of food safety certification. We also know it takes a commitment of resources to get there. That’s why IDDBA offers reimbursement to our retail members who certify dairy, deli, and bakery associates and managers.

What is the Food Safety Certification Reimbursement Program?

• Reimbursement up to $2,000 per year for certification exams (year runs July 1 – June 30)
• Submit an application along with a roster of certified employees, an official pass list or certificates, and an invoice showing the cost per exam.

Who is eligible?

• Member retail companies

When are applications due?

• Anytime

 

Reimbursement is for store-level dairy, deli, or bakery department managers or associates who passed one of these exams.

IDDBA may reimburse retailers up to 100% of the cost of the certification exam per certified employee, with a maximum limit of the testing company’s published cost of the exam. This cost solely includes the certification exam. Expenses not included are: training, materials, labor hours, meals, travel, in-store trainer salaries, etc. Member companies will only receive reimbursement for one exam per employee. IDDBA reserves the right to determine all reimbursements. Reimbursements will be made in the form of a check to the IDDBA member company. IDDBA's financial support of the training and certification process does not imply endorsement or guarantee of the training, materials and/or performance of anyone trained using these programs.
