The Big Business with Even Bigger Opportunity

Did you know that combined, fresh and packaged baked goods account for 8% of sales across the entire store? And while sales remain solid, the aisles are driven by large households who spend 32% more than the average American. 

These are powerhouse stats for a department often overlooked for its role in driving foot traffic, ambiance, and differentiation to the store. However, also concerning in that the future is here and it is disruptive as channel fragmentation, smaller household sizes and different trends portend to make growth in baked goods harder to come by.
