The Future of Salad Bars at Retail - Equipment Considerations

Join PMA and IDDBA (International Dairy Deli Bakery Association) for a two-part, in-depth look at the future of self-serve salad and hot bars at retail given the new realities of a COVID-19 world.

During the pandemic, we saw an immediate halt to the use of salad bars at retail. Retailers didn’t have the resources to maintain the salad bars and there were concerns about shoppers handling utensils and breathing on/near the raw products. What is the future of salad/hot bars, and how can retailers use them creatively when they are not being used for their original purpose?

Focused on salad and hot bar equipment considerations. We’ll talk with the manufacturers about how this equipment can be used safely and creatively to satisfy shoppers and contribute to the bottom line.
