Online Grocery Shopping and The Impact in Store

E-commerce, or online shopping, accounts for just 6% of total CPG sales today; however, it represents more than 50% of growth. Some industries such as pet supplies or health and beauty have more quickly broken the mold with sales rapidly shifting online. Consumers have been slower in their adoption of online grocery shopping, but the recent investments in infrastructure, service and delivery are shifting this experience and improving consumer confidence along the way. As consumers demand it, and merchants move to provide it, the need for an omnichannel solution has accelerated to remain competitive.
