Having a passion for food throughout her career, Alison joined the industry immediately after leaving university and has enjoyed roles as a food technologist, product development manager, consultant, writer, teacher, course developer and training and events manager. As our Global Food Training Director, Alison works with leading industry experts to bring core and emerging food issues into the BSI food training portfolio, enabling food professionals to develop and grow their skills to face the challenges inherent in the food and retail sector.
Alison holds a BSc (Hons) degree as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education (Design and Technology), TAP Diploma in Learning and Development, and Foundation Certificate in Transformational Coaching.
Prior to BSI, Alison was Head of Academy Programs at BRCGS Global Standards, where she was responsible for the design and delivery of courses and event programs, and Training and Event Manager at Leatherhead Food International.
Alison’s career is now focused on progressing and embedding learning cultures, supporting global food and retail clients in producing safe, sustainable and socially responsible food for consumers.
