The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) announces Paul Ziemnisky as President and CEO. Ziemnisky will join IDDBA on September 8th, after five years as the Group EVP Wellness, Innovation and Business Development at Dairy Management Inc. (DMI).
"After a nationwide search, the IDDBA Board of Directors is thrilled to welcome Paul Ziemnisky as the association’s fourth President and CEO,” said Su Fanning, Chief Marketing Officer for Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and Executive Vice Chair of the IDDBA Board. “Paul is a proven leader with a rare blend of CPG brand-building expertise and deep industry roots. His visionary approach to innovation and growth makes him the ideal choice to guide IDDBA and support our members in an evolving marketplace.”
Ziemnisky steps into the role during a period of strong momentum for IDDBA, following a record-breaking annual show in Orlando, FL, and sustained membership growth across the dairy, deli, bakery, and retail foodservice industries.
With more than 30 years' experience as a senior business executive and brand marketing leader, Ziemnisky has a rich history of building brands and delivering results. He has led innovation for brands such as Kraft Natural Cheese, Velveeta, Tombstone, and DiGiorno, while at Kraft Foods, Inc. and brings extensive experience in retail and foodservice.
In addition to driving strong business results, Ziemnisky has been recognized as a top people manager and team developer. Grounded in a deep commitment to helping team members succeed, his leadership philosophy will help the IDDBA team design the education, insights, and experiences to arm the industry for success.
“I am honored and energized to lead IDDBA at such a transformative time for the fresh food community,” Ziemnisky said. “IDDBA is a powerhouse, and I’ve long admired its ability to connect, educate, and inspire the industry. I look forward to working closely with our Board, our talented team, and our more than 1,600 member companies to build on this momentum, drive innovation, and deliver exceptional value across the dairy, deli, bakery, and foodservice sectors.”
In his new role, Ziemnisky will guide the strategic direction of the association, enhancing member value, driving innovation, and expanding IDDBA’s reach across the fresh-food landscape. He will also oversee planning for the association’s flagship event, IDDBA 2027, taking place in Atlanta, GA.
