Alvino is a 24-year veteran of the Food Industry. His career started in the Deli business when he joined his family business, Battistoni Italian Specialty Meats, in 1996. Battistoni Italian Specialty Meats was founded in Buffalo, NY by Alvino’s grandfather in 1931. After a successful sales career, Alvino became President & CEO in 1999. He led the continued growth of the organization until 2005, when Battistoni Meats was acquired by Rich Products Corporation located in Buffalo, NY. Alvino continued to lead Battistoni Meats until 2010, and then joined Rich’s In-Store Bakery & Deli Division as Director of Sales.
During his career at Rich’s, Alvino has assumed increasing sales leadership responsibilities within the In-Store Bakery & Deli and Division. He has managed strategic customer relationships and developed high performing sales teams. He has been active in the community and supported not-for-profit organizations throughout his career. Alvino is a past Board Member of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Sister’s Hospital Foundation, and a past President of the Greater Buffalo Meat Association. He is a current member of Rich’s Better Our Communities Team and Western New York United Against Drug & Alcohol Abuse Foundation Board.
